Richard Strimbeck

Associate Professor / Plant Physiology

I joined NTNU Biology in 2002, after crossing the Atlantic ocean from my previous home in the state of Vermont in the USA. Together with my family, I made the decision to live abroad partly out of a sense of adventure, but mainly because NTNU and Norway offer a good environment for me to pursue my research in the winter ecophysiology of conifers, along with my passion for outdoor sports such as hiking, kayaking and skiing. Learning a new language has been challenging, but I have found NTNU a satisfying place to work and Norway a great place to live on many levels.
